FIS’ Hodder takes on European sales head role 15 January 2020London Reporter: Drew Nicol

FIS has promoted Jonathan Hodder to become its European head of sales for its securities finance and collateral management business.
Based in London, Hodder joined FIS in April 2019 as a senior sales executive, before officially taking on his new role earlier this month.
At EquiLend, Hodder served as global head of sales and marketing between 2011 and 2018.
It is understood that his new role comes as part of a wider push by FIS to expand and update its securities finance data and services offerings.
FIS’ securities finance suite includes data service Astec Analytics, Apex Collateral and Apex Â鶹´«Ã½ Finance, among other auxiliary services.
The promotion comes shortly after FIS concluded its acquisition ,of a majority interest in Virtus Partners, which will enable it to connect the full lending value chain across the buy and sell sides.
The acquisition is set to round out its asset class coverage and enhance its expertise in the credit market.
Andrew Bateman, senior vice president, capital market solutions, buy-side at FIS, explains that Virtus attracted FIS’ attention because it offers a high-value business process as a service and front-to-back technology.
