Hong Kong tweaks short selling list

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong has made an additional 25 securities available for short selling.
From 12 August, shares in Modern Dental, Dali Foods and Hanny Holdings will be available for short selling.
As its common practice, the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong has also removed 32 existing designated securities, taking the total number to 866, up from 857 when revisions were made in May.
The stock exchange’s overall average daily turnover for the first seven months of 2016 was HK $66.7 billion, a decrease of 47 percent when compared with HK $125.4 billion for the same period last year.
