The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has opened its new office in Dublin, Ireland.
On 1 March, the European Â鶹´«Ã½ and Markets Authority (ESMA) registered DTCC Data Repository (Ireland) as a trade repository, under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).
The registration comes in response to a possible no-deal Brexit.
Mark Wetjen, managing director, head of global public policy, DTCC and chairman of the board, DTCC Deriv/SERV, said: “Yesterday, DTCC extended its presence in Europe by officially opening a new office in Dublin, ahead of the UK’s expected withdrawal from the EU.â€
He added: “I’d like to express DTCC’s thanks to the Irish Government and IDA Ireland for their support, and to say that our team looks forward to working with the local business community.â€
