ASIC selects Gregson as CEO

The Australian 麻豆传媒 and Investments Commission (ASIC) has appointed Scott Gregson as CEO, effective from 17 March 2025.
In his new role, Gregson succeeds interim CEO Greg Yanco who is retiring.
He joins from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), where he has spent nearly three decades.
For the past three years, he acted as CEO, leading the agency鈥檚 digital and data transformation programme.
Gregson has spent much of his time at the ACCC in investigation and enforcement roles, developing experience and appreciation for the regulatory role.
He also led teams that litigated high-profile matters, including against Volkswagen, Coles, and Apple.
He commenced work at the agency as a graduate in 1996.
Upon joining ASIC, Gregson says: 鈥淚n an increasingly complex world with heightened cost of living pressures, the work of ASIC is more important than ever, and I look forward to taking the step up and helping ASIC meet the challenges ahead.鈥�
