James Day swaps BNY Mellon for State Street

James Day is due to begin a new role as global head of product development at State Street shortly after vacating his securities finance position at BNY Mellon.
Day, who is based in London, will be responsible for delivering new products, managing regulatory change and providing business solutions.
He will join State Street鈥檚 global management team reporting directly to Martin Tell, global head of securities finance.

Day has spent the past six years as managing director and business executive for securities finance for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at BNY Mellon, where he focused on stabilising the business and determining strong client engagement as well as talent management.
He also represented EMEA on BNY Mellon鈥檚 London branch risk management committee.
