SunGard enhances Astec Analytics Lending Pit solution

SunGard has increased the coverage of Astec Analytics Lending Pit, its browser-based market access solution for securities finance professionals, with the additional of a new portfolio evaluation tool. The new Lending Pit XL add-in gives users access to over six years of historical daily securities lending market data.
The Astec Analytics Lending Pit XL solution helps market participants to leverage a larger pool of rebate/fee and loan information volume. This helps provide greater transparency when maximizing securities lending spreads in a market that can feature widely divergent rebate rates and fees.
Tim Smith, senior vice president at SunGard鈥檚 Astec Analytics business unit, said: 鈥溌槎勾� lending professionals need deep and broad data when pricing a portfolio and maximizing spreads. Data that goes back only two years may not provide an accurate enough gauge of how a portfolio of stocks will perform. The Lending Pit XL add-in tool therefore provides a large amount of historical data, on a stock-by-stock basis, that market participants can draw on for a more accurate market indicator when trying to price a portfolio.鈥�
