BCS Global Markets appoints new prime brokerage sales director

BCS Global Markets has appointed Andrew Richards as prime services sales director, based in London.
Richards will report to Tim Bevan, global head of prime BCS Global Markets and CEO BCS UK.
In his new role, Richards will support the firm’s expansion by strengthening and expanding the global investor base in the US, Europe, emerging and frontier markets.
Additionally, he will be responsible for selling the firm’s flagship international prime services offering to the small and mid-tier hedge fund community across various strategies.
Prior to joining BCS Global Markets, Richards held various senior roles within the prime brokerage industry.
He has over 15 years of industry experience and was most recently director of Origination Global Security Finance, synthetic prime brokerage at ING BANK in London.
In addition, he also served as vice president, prime brokerage relationship manager for Bank of America Merrill Lynch in London.
