UnaVista, part of London Stock Exchange Group, has appointed Matthew Vincent as its director of regulatory reporting strategy, with a focus on the incoming Â鶹´«Ã½ Financing Transactions Regulation.

Vincent, who reports to Mark Husler, CEO of UnaVista, makes the move from Credit Suisse where he spent the past five years as head of regulatory reporting for the Markets in Financial Instruments Regulation.

In his new role, Vincent will focus on data analytics solutions, working with clients and the industry to look for ways to improve data accuracy across several regulatory frameworks, which also includes the second Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II) and the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).

He will also be working closely with UnaVista’s community to evolve the reports and alerts to assist with improving reporting performance and data accuracy.

Vincent brings a wealth of knowledge and more than 10 years of experience under his belt working in regulatory reporting functions at tier-one banks.

Prior to Credit Suisse, Vincent worked for Barclays Bank in the operational compliance team advising on regulatory reporting including MiFID transaction reporting and EMIR trade repository reporting.

Commenting on the appointment, Husler said: “As one of the leading regulatory reporting platforms in the world we want to help the industry evolve, Matthew will central to that by bringing together the community to generate new ideas and ensuring we can be the collective voice of our clients whilst working with the regulators.â€

Elsewhere, UnaVista recently launched its SFTR trade repository in user acceptance testing on the same web-based technology as MiFIR and EMIR.
