Tony Freeman departs DTCC

Tony Freeman has left the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) where he served as executive director of government relations, based in London.
A DTCC spokesperson confirmed his departure and says he is pursuing new opportunities. As of February, Freeman defines himself as an independent consultant on his LinkedIn.
At DTCC, Freeman focused on policy issues that affect the firm and its clients, working closely with colleagues in Brussels, Washington DC and Hong Kong.
Freeman was also heavily involved in the market infrastructure firm’s response to Brexit and was also involved in discussions around cryptocurrency, emerging fintech and operational resilience.
Prior to DTCC, Freeman worked in several industry and government relations roles for Omgeo, before DTCC’s acquisition of the firm in 2013.
Before that, Freeman also spent six years at J.P. Morgan Chase between the years 1997 and 2003.
At J.P. Morgan Chase, Freeman was initially hired as a senior relationship manager in the financial institutions group and later served as a product manager in outsourcing and middle-office processing.
Between 1990 and 1998, Freeman was with the International Â鶹´«Ã½ Market Association (now known as the International Capital Market Association) the regulatory body and trade association for the Eurobond market.
