State Street hires Eccles as Global Head of Prime Services

State Street has appointed Brendan Eccles as global head of Prime Services.
Based in New York, Eccles will report to Taryn Siglain, global head of Financing Solutions.
He will replace Siglain following the expansion of her role to oversee all of Financing Solutions.
In his new position, Brendan is responsible for all aspects of the business including developing and executing on the growth strategy, solutioning for and partnering with clients, and managing a global team.
In addition, he will lead the continued business growth and product expansion of Prime Services across the globe, working closely with clients and internal partners to execute on State Street’s strategy.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in securities finance to his new role, including launching new businesses.
Brendan spent a large part of his career with Scotiabank, where he was most recently global head of securities lending. In this role, he managed securities lending and total return swap activity.
Earlier in his career, Eccles spent two years at RBC Investor & Treasury Services (now RBC Investor Services) within its securities lending department.
